Artist's Comments

This was a macro shot of the tiles on the rooftop of Himeji castle. I enjoyed the moss offsetting the aged tile. I would have swept the leaves out of the framing...but I found them to be pleasing in the end.

i like the feel to this shot, and i agree with elfaron, they look like stairs, almost like a little magical place where the spirits go. lol. (like spirited away!) love it!

It's funny you should talk about "Spirited Away". I have been talking with many people out here about how I am not the biggest fan of Anime. My problem with it isn't the animation as much as the mouth movements of "WA WA WA" for just about everything they say. However, I have been saying just how much I enjoy "Spirited Away" and the amazing animation and story as well as the other works from that same creator like "Princess Mononoke". Those are truly amazing and beautiful anime films...oh, and thank you for the compliment!

Oh i love princess mononoke!! its my favorite miyazaki movie. I agree that most anime lack depth in their story, but miyazaki breaks the boundaries on that!
